Aurea Ilminster was opened in the summer of 2001, specialising in furniture, fabrics and a range of accessories and unusual objects for the home and garden.   Aurea Bristol was opened at Christmas 2002.

Both shops have a selection of new and antique decorative items, mirrors, rugs, art, wall hangings, textiles and objets d'art juxtaposed with accessories, baskets, cushions and leather goods. Sofas and chairs, upholstered traditionally are available with kitchen and dining tables, chairs and benches. Tableware, ceramics, china and glass are allways in stock. Chandeliers, lamps and lamp shades are included in the collection as individual pieces.

Garden accessories feature furniture, marble compound urns, wall reliefs, pots, cast iron bird baths, various wall candelabra, hazel wood hurdles and even a 'top dog' kennel.

Fabrics are principally linens and cottons, in plain colours , tickings and checks, silks, with toiles and some floral designs are used as a contrast.

All items are personally selected for design appeal, style, quality and character from connections in far flung lands and from local south west country sources.

Aurea offer a full interior design and curtain making service, established over twenty years, with curtains hand made to order. Interior design is about surrounding yourself with comfort, elegance and style.
